When to Use Pro Citrus Rinse
☀️ When Carpets Have Browning or Yellowing & are in Need of Brightening
Ever noticed a brown tint or yellowing on carpets after a deep clean—especially in natural fibre carpets or synthetics? This can be from the pH level being too high from cleaning with alkaline solutions such as Pre Spray No.3.
Browning can also be from staining, or water-damage. Citrus Rinse is a good solution for neutralising and removing browning & yellowing in carpets & upholstery.
🍃When There's Bad Ammonia Odours After Cleaning Carpets with Pet Urine Build up
That’s often due to ammonia crystal built up in carpet backing & fibres reacting to cleaning agents. Enter Dirtbusters Pro Citrus Rinse: an acidic, pH-balancing post-rinse solution designed to eliminate those crystals and restore fibre appearance.
Sometimes this ammonia smell is overwhelming, Pro Acidic Rinse will resolve this issue, gently removing crystals and neutralising odours back to a fresh citrus fragrance.
🖌️When you Need to Clean a Fabric Chair or Sofa with a Risk of Colour Bleeding
Using an acidic rinsing shampoo solution can help to stabilise and minimise the risk of colour bleed. We recommend using an acidic product for gentle upholstery cleaning.
🌸If Carpets are Natural & Delicate Such as Wool or Jute
You might not think acidic carpet cleaning shampoo would be gentle for natural fibres, but it's the best solution for gentle yet effective cleaning. For a carpet shampoo to be suitable for use on wool carpets, it must have a more acidic pH level. We recommend using an acidic shampoo for very delicate carpets.
🧪After Using Pre Spray No.3 or Highly Alkaline Pre Spray's & Shampoo's
If carpets are highly soiled and require a strong alkaline solution to remove grease, trodden in dirt, stains and general grime, you may need to follow with Pre Spray No.3 to neutralise the pH level in the carpet. If left alkaline, there is a risk of yellowing or browning in some carpets, and a risk of become quickly soiled again. Shampoo the carpet with Pro Citrus Acidic Rinse to neutralise and protect.
